For Sale: GEC #46 Whaler

Post by kootenay joe »

462218, new, i am the original owner. Muscle Bone handles which suits this big knife well. No issues at all. I have bought too many GEC's for my financial situation and now need to sell some of them. It is hard to decide which to sell because every GEC i have received is a very fine knife.
Price: $165 shipped
If interested my email is: [email protected]
This knife is returnable for refund if you don't like it, but i am pretty sure you will like it. It is a good knife.

Already got one of the same (been looking for the wood-handled for a bit). Normally I'd get a hankering to help you out and gift myself an EDC Whaler (yes, I would totally carry that beast) but the financial situation right now just doesn't allow for it.

I'm sure you will unload it for that excellent price considering how much they're going for on fleabay and around the internet, KJ, but if for some reason you don't unload it by the time I'm back on stable ground I'll get in touch.

Thanks Lee & Tony. Yes it is good looking but i think they all turned out to be equally good looking. The Muscle Bone does look muscular and it suits this knife on steroids. "Hey Man, your knife doin 'roids ?"
The price lets me break even after shipping and i prefer to do this than to try and make a profit from my AAPK family.
I did not mention it but pull for both blades is very reasonable. They are easily pinchable. And absolute zero play.
It was about this #46 pattern when GEC began to get every knife right on in every aspect. All the releases from this #46 on to present have been exceptionally fine knives.
However, i better stop the gab as this is a For Sale thread.

Dennis - Muscle Bone - GEC’s name for this type & color of bone - it seems to me that GEC has alot of different names they have termed their different bone handles - one is called rotten banana as just one other example.. maybe KJ can give more examples as a GEC collector...
