3:10 to Yuma

If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

Westerns

Post by OLDSMOKE »

McMurtry is a loonytoone he had to have had help that is all there is to it, Jerimiah Johnson was filmed mostly on RobertRefords back yard, I love the tune that goes with it.
Another good westerns is got ole Sam Elliot in it called Conager.
A little side note here, I saw where a few of you guys were discussing wooden boxes for keeping your collections in, I am not sure who it was as I have not been able to find the thread for it again, BUT the name Harbour Freight was brought up,( my wife wont let me go in there anymore) and until the 10th of march there is a very nice looking wooden box for 69 bucks it is a machinists tool box.
I have the flier but I am sure that you can find it at thier website!!!

return to lonesome dove

Post by Mossdancer »

Thought somebody might be interested. "Return To Lonesome Dove" (The last three parts of it anyway) is airing over a new network ION on DISH on the next three Saturday nights at 9-11PM slot Pacific Time. Just ran across it last Saturday. Its the one where Jon Voight played Cap'n Call. First one was sort of draggy but entertaining anyway.

to keep with the thread, and not completely hijack it.....Legends of the Fall was also filmed around here too..and Brad Pitt is a knife guy too.....

search google for Brad Pitt and Brian Tighe.....

Cool pics useem, I hae seen the 3:10 movie and would say they could have done better on casting IMO. Wish they would've used some lesser known actors for it.
Might have made it more interesting, my 2 cents.
