Case "transition" Canoe 52131

Post by RalphAlsip »

The Case Canoe in this eBay listing looks off to me. Here are some of the reasons.
1. Shield looks homemade to me. It looks too large and not elliptical enough. The inner oval groove and the lettering doesn't look right.
2, Blade stamping doesn't look right. The pattern number looks too "scrunched" together and the 2 numeral "1" are missing the top serif.
3. The shape of the spear blade looks off to me and it sits too high out of the frame when closed.

Other observations are welcomed

That spear blade is definitely askew Jerry. ::nod:: The frame looks a bit odd too.perhaps that is why the master appears to sit high. ::shrug::

A complete fake...better done than some, but still a bad fake.
