I haven't married yet, but I remember carrying this gec when my dad got remarried a few years ago to the nicest lady I've ever known. I also brought my pup to the wedding :D

John, that's one question I can't even come close to knowing the answer. ::hmm:: I do remember going dove hunting that afternoon before our 6:30 PM wedding on October 8, 1966.

I was in dress green uniform, so I doubt I was carrying a knife.

But, if I was, it would have been my Buck 110.

Probably this one. She gave it to me as a wedding gift, but I can’t remember if it was before the wedding or after. ::facepalm:: I carried it for years before I finally retired it. She knew about my knife addiction but married me anyway. We’ll be married 48 years this July.

The only pocketknife I carried back then (1977) was my Buck 301. I can’t truthfully say it was in my tux pocket when the ceremony was performed because I just don’t remember. OH
Deep in the guts of most men is buried the involuntary response to the hunter's horn, a prickle of the nape hairs, an acceleration of the pulse, an atavistic memory of his fathers, who killed first with stone, and then with club...Robert Ruark

A nice Al Mar ultra lite micarta folder with clip. I traded in a Glock I hated to the gun shop for store credit. Used it to buy little leatherman knives for the groomsmen and the Al Mar for me. I hated that Glock.

This post had me thinking a bit.My first time was in 1972 and I don't think I had a knife in my pocket at the time. You had to check your guns at the door
The second time was Dec.31 1993 and I had my Jason Williams folder that I only carried on very special occasions. Don't think there will be a 3rd time.

It wouldn’t feed reliably. It was a used one I bought around 1993. I ended up with a Berreta I liked a lot mor then discovered 1911’s.

Could it have been the type of ammunition you were using? I had that problem with a Ruger Mk1. It would sometimes feed two or three rounds at once or "stovepipe". Sent it back to Ruger and they checked it out and found nothing wrong with it. Asked me what type of ammo I was using and I told them Federal. They suggested changing to another brand as they had had complaints before with people using it. Apparently the rounds were just a trifle short causing the problem. Changed ammo and never had another problem.
Another time I got a Detonics Mk1(which I still own and carry infrequently)and took it to the range without cleaning it.(Last time I will EVER do that!)Stovepiped on me after three rounds. Took it home and disassembled it and found that the previous owner(a 19th magnitude moron)had never cleaned it;in fact the extractor was so coked up with powder residue I had to pry it out with a screwdriver. Cleaned it up and re-assembled and it worked perfectly. Now I clean it after every use.

The next time, which will be later this year, I will be carrying the one my bride to be gave me for Christmas last year. Have to use Steves pic as I haven't got a better one.
1964-69 Case 5347
1964-69 Case 5347
I will have 3 more on me as well, one for each of the kids but haven't decided what they will be yet. Probably a trio of small stockmans since they are my favorite pattern.
