Keen Kutter Easy Open

Post by danno50 »

This looks like the master and caplifter blades from a KK scout put into a Camillus or Pal frame?

I agree. The 3 3/8" EO with jigged bone and bail was a common knife circa WW II and i have never seen one with a cap lifter.
Roger what is it that allows you to know that these 2 blades are not original, other than it just does not look 'right' as an overall impression ?

Roland, there are several things. The easiest to show is blow up the 1st picture and see how the blade fits up with the spring.

Very unusual configuration. Fit of blades is poor. I agree with Roger. Looks like a Frankenknife to me.
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

Thanks Roger. A top down view would of course show the blade/spring match up better.
I just noticed the blade is saber ground. I used to collect these WW II EO jacks, had about 60. They all had a flat ground master blade.
