Re: Is this a Camillus?
Your in deeper water than I can wade. I have never seen this one.
There is no visible, to me, bolster pin. The shape of the length of the knife along with no visible pin, hints to me of Schrade. Only Schrade made Bucks were that much of an S shape. Schrade had finished their Buck relationship by 1971 so maybe they used the tooling to produce this. T/C was later than 71 I guess. Did Camillus knives have number stamped on reverse tang ?

Camillus usually put the model numbers on the pile side of the knife.300Bucks wrote: Did Camillus knives have number stamped on reverse tang ?

Re: Is this a Camillus?
In goings they list the t/c knives as being made by Camillus
I found this knife listing at gunbroker:
Up for auction is a Thompson Center Firearms 3 blade folder. This knife was designed and built by Blackie Collins for Thomson Center in 1972. Due to a falling out between Collins and TC, none of these knives were EVER RELEASED. This knife is numbered 1104 of an unknown issue. I acquired this knife from my father who confirmed this information directly from Thompson Center. Carbon steel blades and Cocobolo wood handles make up this very rare folder. The length with both ends open is 9 3/4 inches
This is the pic that was with the listing
It is a past listing ,just thought it might help

Re: Is this a Camillus?
To add to Travman’s post, I found the following from a past auction...
“ this was made for the Thompson Center firearms Co.by Camillus Cutlery in Camillus NY, commissioned by Collins Brothers(Michael & Blackie) of Atlanta GA. Its a large 3-blade stockman pattern with laminated Rosewood handles, slanted nickel silver bolsters, brass liners and pins, 4-1/4" closed length, Made in 1972.., this is another item from the Nilo Miori collection, Mr. Miori was the President of Camillus Cutlery for many years...”

Re: Is this a Camillus?

I was wondering if your information came from a recently completed auction?
I could not find a previous auction on eBay showing the information you shared, but I did find something that might be of interest on this matter.
There is a current listing on eBay for two Thompson Center Arms pocketknives: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Thompson-Cente ... ctupt=true
I save the text and the pictures for reference after the auction has gone away.
The text is as follows:
"This is a Vintage pair of Thompson Center pocket knife consecutive SN. # 113 & # 114 made in USA. On Big Blade 1972 usa On Small & Medium Blade T.C. # 113 on one knife & # 114 on other knife,Closed 3/2" long.
Thanks for looking!"
Maybe the renewed interest in this topic and this current two knife auction on eBay will spark some discussion on these knives again and perhaps we can find out if these were indeed made by Camillus. Personally, I am about 90% certain that Camillus make them. Maybe that is as good as it gets this many years after the fact and 12 years after the close of Camillus.
Unfortunately we lost Tom Williams a few years ago, he was the only person that I've known who might know if Camillus made them.
