Have you ever been in a commercial?
In September 2018 my wife and I were involved in a vehicle accident that totaled our Tahoe. Later in March 2019 OnStar came to our home with a film crew and made a commercial about our accident. You can view it right now at:

Glad you were not seriously injured!
Never been in a commercial, but we do have Onstar in both vehicles. In our Tahoe which is the vehicle we use when traveling we have the Onstar Directions and Connections service which is hands-free and will get you directions to anywhere you want to go. You don’t even have to have an address, you just tell the advisor what you’re looking for and they find it for you, whether it’s a business, a place if interest, or just the nearest gas station. Then they download the directions into the vehicle’s navigation system.

Re: Have you ever been in a commercial?
Im very glad you folks came through that ok!
You both did a great job on that ad. I was really impressed by how well spoken you both were. Talking on camera is harder than it looks! Up here, our accent is kinda boring. I could listen to Texans talk all day!
I haven’t done a commercial, but I’ve been interviewed a couple of times.
The better one was when they put in the Millenium Line on our Skytrain. They were asking people for their opinion and nabbed me. It was broadcast on the local news. My friend Carol-Ann was on her computer and heard my voice in the living room. She came running to the tv, yelling ‘I know that voice!’.

You don't know how many times they shoot a spot to get it just the way they want it. I've never been in an interview like you were, that would scare me.zoogirl wrote:Im very glad you folks came through that ok!

Re: Have you ever been in a commercial?
..back in the mid seventies, we were pulling our boat out of the water at hurricane landing on sardis reservoir, and when we got to the top of the ramp here comes two guys with cameras hollering "show us your fish"!!, so we did and found out bill dance was on the lake and they might use the film on his tv show, but , as far as I know, I never made it to the silver screen!!!!....

Re: Have you ever been in a commercial?
David, oh yeah. I have a pretty good idea of how many takes it can take!
I was on our church drama team for many years. Rehearse, read, and rehearse again. Then mess up anyway!
I’m lucky enough to be very comfortable with speaking in public. It was a huge part of my zoo job. These days, I have a mic in my face every week at the open mic jam. It takes s few minutes to get set up, so I banter with the boys and the crowd. I’ll do a birthday shoutout, remind ‘em to tip the servers, crack a joke or mention one of the upcoming acts. I just love to yap!

Y’all did a nice job o the commercial. Glad you both are fine now. I have 2 questions: Did the guy in the pickup truck survive ? Were you compensated for the commercial? I fully understand if you don’t want to answer. Just something I’ve always been curious about.

Fun stuff guys
I've actually been on provincial TV twice in the last 5 years. Not directly, but backing up my dad, as he deals with a big issue concerning mean neighbours and dumb government. That's all i can say. If you google Peter Onofreychuk Saskatchewan we should come up.
