Memorial day tribute

Post by terryl308 »

This is a crude iron cross I made to help hold up the flowers on my wife's grave, she passed away 13 months ago. I guess I'll call it the Old Rugged Cross, kind of like me, a long ways from perfect, but the thought is there. The only knife connection is I used my old trip hammer and forge to make the thing. I used two railroad spikes and hammered them out. My wife used to be my "quality control" person. When I would finish up a knife I would show it to her and she would let me know if anything didn't look right. I hope this is all right to post this here. Thanks for looking, as always , Terry ::handshake::

Terry, that’s a nice tribute. You made it for her, so you know she thinks it’s perfect!

By the way Terry, your 560 mile trip to her site, was a pilgrimage, a tribute, in itself. God bless.
