Corso, John R, Kslinger, all good looking pieces. Here's an old Keen Kutter that I picked up recently. Liked the bones and rat tail bolster and the barely sharpened blades. Hasn't seen much use in all these years. which is hard to say how many given the stamp range. Always interesting to hear date estimates, but it's a few years old and still great snap and action. Tiny movement. Doesn't feel like an old Case though. Definitely not a Bradford or Titusville knife. St. Louis MO. Different. More like a Voos or a Pal to me.

Thanks JohnR, that's what got me, the bolsters and the bone. It's 3 3/8 closed, looks like about full blades and no chips or cracks in the bone. Just wish I could tell what year it was?

Iman, pm Danno50 and ask him to look, he is the man when it comes to Keen Kutter. For what it's worth I feel it is an early one also based on construction.

Put an edge on the Challenge here, now fit to carry it will get more pocket time.

Ivoryman: That Challenge is a beauty! ::tu::
A pocket knife is still an intimate personal possession of the individual who carries it and consequently deserves the best of materials, finish and workmanship in its production. (Quoted from Boker's 1928 cutlery catalog).

Nice pair of Sheffield knives, Corso! ::tu:: Lovely old Walden dogleg, knife7knut! ::tu::
Beautiful old Keen Kutter, Ivoryman! ::tu:: Roger gave you good information, manufactured by the Walden Knife Co. between 1905 and 1920. From Sellens, it would appear to be a K2578. St Louis MO was where the Simmons Hardware Co. head office was, not where the knife was made. The Walden factory was located in Walden, New York.
Great Challenge jacks, Iman and John! ::tu:: ::tu::

Here's an old walden that I've had a little while. It came along with a schrade I was after. It's still solid and tight after a lifetime of use.

That's an awfully sweet knife to come with another one you were actually after. Really nice bonus. ____Dave
