If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

Tom congratulations on your anniversary - what a great way to celebrate! It is nice of the team to honor you and Cathy.

Congratulations Tom. That's when you know you got a good one, when she agrees to go to a ball game with you on your first date.

Au contraire my friend, it was she that asked me to the game and she is by far the bigger sports fan in our home (and the better athlete)

Rangers swept the Tigers. Been playing good ball since mid-May and gradually sneaking up on the Lastros. How long they can keep it up will be interesting - pitching is woefully thin so probably just one injury away from the whole thing collapsing. ::facepalm::

But I’m gonna enjoy it while it lasts! ::ds:: ::ds::

It’s irritating to hear the visiting team’s fans start those chants. Especially when it’s the damnYankees!

When I go to a Rangers game there is almost always a strong contingent of fans of the visiting team in attendance. Especially teams from the East and Midwest. Most of those people have moved to Texas, and mostly in the last 20 years or so. We call them the “U-Haul Army”.

But they’re good folks just cheering their team. I’ve talked with a lot of them and most have become Rangers fans, except when their old home team comes to visit. What’s funny to see is, if they have their kids with them the kids are usually dressed in Rangers gear!

(There are a few exceptions however. A couple of years ago I met some Pirates fans who were total obnoxious jerks. But I attribute that to those individuals, not Pirate fans in general.)

Yesterday was the 1st game we've been to this season. I only go once or twice a year.It amazes me how much some folks spend on drinks at games.I bought 1 domestic beer $9.25,my son bought 1 craft beer,$14.25.I noticed a couple setting next to us bought 8 craft beers before they left at the end of the 6th inning. It doesn't seem to matter what they charge, people will buy it.Others around us had similar stacks of empty cups and cans.
I must be getting old but,I would rather set at home or a bar and get drunk and watch the game on TV,instead of setting in 95° heat and paying 3 or 4 times as much. ::shrug::

That was really special Tom. My late wife and I used to enjoy watching the Reds games, as bad as they were.

Yea Roger, there were about as many Cub’s fans there as Reds fans.

What was with the beaning of Puig? I thought that was Pirates MO?

Condolences to the family of Tyler Skaggs, pitcher for the LA Angels. The 27 y.o. was found dead in his hotel this morning.

The game between the Rangers and Angels has correctly been postponed.

Nola shuts out the Braves, 2 to 0. Dallas Kuechel pitched very well too for the Braves. Doesn't quite make up for losing 3 to the fish but its a start.

Roger at those prices you could soon spend what a good knife for the collection would cost.
