Added Kabar Pathfinder stag model
Picked up this Kabar/Union Cutlery Co 6 inch model from ebay recently. Very nice shape other than the staining on the blade from storage in the sheath. Model 671-6. Thanks for looking and thanks to gunsil for sharing his Union cutlery Company knowledge.

Nice one Steve, looks like there is original finish on the handles. They were originally dyed (not burnt) and coated with a varnish or shellac coating. Not sure about the sheath, I have a couple in different sheaths.

Thanks Eye Brand Man and gunsil. I've half convinced myself that the blade hasn't been sharpened so your remark about the handle finish possibly being original helps Gene. I'm now about 3/4 convinced.

Super looking stag knife!
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

Handle has that knice warm look and a great looking blade profile as well. Excellent pick up.

Circling back to Gene's comment about the sheath, I am wondering about the originality myself. If you overlay the knife on the sheath, with the guard just above the front piece, the point of the knife reaches below the bottom rivet. So it rides slightly high in the sheath. Not a big deal, just something to ponder over
And thanks for the kind comments gentlemen.
