What model is this?
I've been told Gentleman's knife and the flat blade is a letter opener, Doctors knife and the flat blade is a fleam, melon tester and the flat blade was for coring, blah blah blah...I did an internet and found some Doctors knives that have the same overall shape but none have the secondary blade made like this one.
I think the handles are celluloid.-

Dr. Knife. The flat blade was used to sort through pills when counting and stirring when mixing up medicines. Imitation ivory handles made of Pyremite. John

Forgot to mention, the solid flat bolster was designed to crush pills when mixing compounds.

The imprint on my knife has no quotation marks and is red, Also mine has the waterfall scales like your second pic shows and no model number.

The waterfall scales are actually mother of pearl rather than the celluloid waterfall or cracked ice material.clockman wrote:The imprint on my knife has no quotation marks and is red, Also mine has the waterfall scales like your second pic shows and no model number.

Sorry espn77, My mentholatum imprint is green also. I am somewhat colorblind so I had my wife look at it and she said it was green. Knife has imitation ivory scales and no model number. Probably a contract knife. Randy
