Are There Any BASEBALL Fans On The Forum?

If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

Made me happy, John. Just to see the Brewers go home dragging their tails behind them was enough for me. It's mostly Ryan Braun that makes me feel that way. ::barf::

When Max was down 0-2 early I thought it was over. "But was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor (Animal House reference ::super_happy:: )?" This team is quite resilient and the bat support came through. Any way they can get it done I guess, but they cannot play come-from-behind against the Dodgers or Braves and expect a successful outcome.

I forget- how does the 5 game series go? 2 @ Dodgers, 2 @ Nats, Game 5 @ Dodgers if needed? Hockey is totally different and more fair in a 7 game series, in my opinion.

Very pleased with the outcome yesterday. Glad the Brewers can play golf now.

Be OK with me if the Braves get there. Anyone but the Dodgers in the NL.

Will root for the Astros only because of the connections with the Phillies back a few years ago. Oh yeah they're pretty good too. ::tu::

I have to give credit where credit is due jerry, that was my wife that said that. Thought it was pretty good so I borrowed it for use here.

And the Braves ALMOST came back all the way. Was a lot to make up. Game 2 will be huge.

We need to tighten up security. I see a closet Yankee fan has slipped underneath the wire. Man the Claymores and for God's sake, stay awake.

I can think of 7 other teams that are better for a backup plan than the D*** Y******. Show some class my Indiana brother.

Braves looked pretty good yesterday, I don't think I've ever seen Max Freid breaking off curve balls like he did in relief yesterday. Series is even but the Cards make me nervous, :D ::ds:: Go Braves

Amen. And amen!

Anybody else notice how the network scheduled the damnYankees playoff games for prime time starts and the teams from "flyover country" get what's left?

That one really had me squirming Steve. :D
What a game! Hopefully we can take this next one in St. Louis and be done with these Cards.

Nats relief pitching stinks! Tonight they could be put out of their misery, no sense in prolonging the inevitable.

This game is far from over. Tied 1-1 in the bottom of the third with the bases loaded. Nats still fighting. They could use a Grannie. That would take some of the starch out of the Dodgers.

Cards came from behind and walked it off in the 10th to send it to a 5th game in Atlanta. ::super_happy:: Seems like somehow the big names always come through in the clutch, like Molina did today with the hit to tie it up and then a sac fly to win it.

Which is what scares me - Freeman has been too quiet for too long. ::hmm::
