Re-handled Tested Era --1095 Toothpick/Tickler

I've never seen a shield on a Celuloid covered toothpick/tickler from the Tested Era or any other Era. So that's the first giveaway. A moot point, but the Shield itself (pic. 2) is not typical of the Tested Era, to my knowlege ( I know the open "C" was used to some degree probably toward the end of the era but the typical Tested shield has the closed "C".Case experts please weigh in here). Finally, note (pic 3) the non Case hafting. Case handles would be flush with the bolster and end cap these handles ride slightly above and are tapered down to meet the bolster and cap; also the handle pins seem wider than the ones Case used. Besides the aformentioned inconsistencies this knife reads like a pretty nicely preserved --1095: the slightly shorter, overall more slender single blade toothpick offered in the Tested Era. But here I am slightly skeptical also because although the blade looks correct the frame seem too wide and 093 like. I'm going to assume the photes are distorted and are makeing the frame look wider than it is. Further input here would be appreciated.

There were some later Tested era shields having an open C, but those also had a tall S. The OP knife’s shield has a more “squatty” S - looks more like a late ‘60s or 70s shield to me.

Seller says the handle material is “acrylic”. I think he knows they’ve been replaced, just not saying so.

I agree with all the points mentioned above.

If the handles were original (they are not) the shield (which should not be on a knife with these handles) would be a closed C shield because you would not find this handle material on a later year production Tested knife. Way too many inconsistencies to be even close to right.

I've posted before on old knives being in agreement with themselves. This knife is arguing with itself.
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.
