Need suggestions

Post by knfcollector »

I’m looking for any suggestions on safely reattaching a tip bolster on a pearl handled knife as well suggestions on attaching full bolsters on a bone handled knife? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks all.

The only way to properly do it conventionally is to remove the handles and re-solder them.
If you're really good, you could use Tix solder on the bone one without removing the bone, but it's risky.
I can now laser-weld them. Laser welding uses heat that is so localized, you can hold the work in your hand while welding.
