Queen whittler blade replacement?

Post by Doug51 »

I have this beautiful Queen whittler that I want to replace the main blade just so it's functional. I bought it at a garage sale for $5. Can someone tell me where I might get a blade that would work for a blade replacement? I'm not looking to restore it to original just want to carry and use it. I'm not sure what the original blade length was or what it even looked like. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

If you search Ebay there are sellers that have massive quantities of Queen parts for sale, from the Queen factory auction.

I bought two of those Queen blades. The first one, a large clip style for a large coke bottle model, was almost finished and sharpened easily. The second one, a spear blade designed to have a swinging crossguard, was far from finished. Rough ground, I'm still trying to get some kind of edge on it. They are heat-treated, though, the steel is harder than a landlord's heart. ha ha

Wondering if a schrade blade would have the same pin hole size or thickness? I could reprofile the blade shape if I had to. Just want to make a user out of it.

I know that it is not the same thing, but I replaced a blade on this (supposed) Queen congress knife with a Schrade blade that I bought from Discount Cutlery. They have tons of blades, many at $0.44 and $0.88 each.

I ordered a large quantity of blades, otherwise shipping costs would not be worth it, and there is no guarantee that any if these would work in yours, but it is very possible that one will. I would order several blades and give it a try!
