Camillus 23 in Black/Chestnut Brown Bone Handles
This Camillus 23 was in my store for quite awhile with light amber colored bone handles. No one seemed to crazy about them so I disassembled it and installed some new handles.
Culpepper listed these as black handles but as is often the case with black bone, the colors changed a bit after hafting and finishing. It still turned out nice but its not the jet black I was looking for. Its a nice black/chestnut brown color. Hopefully this new look will help me find a new home for this beauty.
Thanks for looking!
Jeff

A very good looking knife. Good job.
With that long pull and the swedge it looks like a short line Camillus.

Jeff, you get a gold star on your chart for that one. Well done my friend.

Gorgeous work Jeff! I really like the "black bone" even if its not jet black. I may have to get some of the black bone with my next Culpepper order!

Thanks everyone.
The Camillus 23’s are always fun to work on. I’ve got one other off colored amber one that I’ll probably redo next week.
