Show Us Your Camillus Knives!

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

Today I added this knife to my general CAMILLUS knife collection. It needed some cleaning and it received it. I took some pictures and here it is. I've also included two pictures of this knife, paired up with my other one.

Those are some nice ones Skip!
I'm still learning as I go so forgive me for asking what the age difference is. I noticed that one also has a long pull and the other doesn't ::hmm::

Thank you. ::tu:: They both have the same, 4-line tang stamp. That, according to info on this site, puts them both in the early 1930's to mid 1940's date range. Now, which of the two is older? I honestly don't know.

Just for fun, my biggest and my smallest together. Marine Combat and Sliver Sword Lockback. At 12" OAL, and a 7" blade, the Marine Combat is my biggest Camillus. At 2 3/8" closed (counting the protrusion in for the keyring attachment) with a 1 3/4" blade, the 870 is the smallest.

Got this one yesterday. A Camillus Long line tang stamp (1960-76) #41 Senator Pen. 3-1/8" closed, with the pointed oval shield, and delrin handles. Blades have excellent snap.
