Is "invaluable" an ebay like site for collectible items ?
Has anyone here bought or sold on this site ?
If buying for your own collection i think it is better to buy knives individually, always trying to get the best example you can afford. If buying to resell on ebay then buying this lot for $500 would likely result in making a profit. But it would be better if you could handle and inspect every knife for yourself unless the seller is someone you know and trust.

No Roland, they are advertising an auction today and tomorrow held by Morphy's Auctions in Denver, PA. Google Morphy and you will see their items, many great knives in the auction. It is three hours from me, I was thinking about going to bid in person, but probably won't attend tomorrow. They do also have phone and internet bidding. There's Maher and Grosch with a great etch I'd love to have but it too is in a lot of several knives so it may go way more than I'd like to pay.

Thank you Gene. So Morphy pays 'invaluable' to show their auctions in the hopes of attracting more bidders ?

Roland--I whole heartadly agree..it was just tempting to me because I've really been into Empire knives lately..I'm just going to watch and see what crazy price someone will likely pay for that lot.. very nice examples (to me) if they're as nice as advertised...

I will be following the auction, maybe bidding if the price is right. But not on this lot, it will go higher than my wallet allows. ::sneaky::

I wouldn't be surprised to see it go $1,500+.

I don't know Empire Winstead knives very well but what do you see in that lot that would bring in such a high price ?

Morphy tends to get top dollar in their auctions. I see things sell for ridiculous prices.
