weird kitchen knife...
Bought these at a local garage sale. Payed $.50 for both.
The wooden handled one is marked"Preston Hollow Ground/ Fine Stainless Steel" on the front and " Mfg. in/ JAPAN. NATL/Headquarters/=USA="on the back.
The handle on the other one is solid sterling silver. The back of the blade is marked "Sheffield/ Stainless/ Blade Made/ In England.// Sterling Handle// Gorham
Probably a knife to cut a wedding cake. The handle is nicely engraved, "Linda- Gene/ 2-6-71.
That's a little OVB letter opener/ ruler in the middle. I've owned it for many years.

Bill,
That top one be a weird looking knife
. And the edge does look like the Freeze Cut
, I think Bruce Voyles had one pictured in one of his last 3 or 4 catalog auctions. If you do not have one, they may still be online if you would like to confirm.

Re: weird kitchen knife...
You mean I am not the only one who buys kitchen knives at estate sales?
I have gotten Case, Cattaraugus, a Murphy paring knife ($0.15) and lots of nice carbon steel. In fact my favorite kitchen knives mostly come from garage/estate sales.
Nice finds,
Dale
