How is the Case Trout & Bird pommel secured?

Hi all,

I have a Case M3F SSP "Tested XX Razor Edge" Trout & Bird with a blade off center to the guard and messed up leather washers. Any idea how the pommel is secured on these? I assume pinned but I don't see a pin visibly.

I may be mistaken, but I believe that Case actually pours molten aluminum into a mold that is clamped on to the tang.
