I believe the guy from Ohio sold the Queen rights to Smokey Mt & Blue Ridge and they are the one's that are having them made in China . He still has Schatt & Morgan from what I've heard .

I am not impressed at all. I actually like the red bone Trapper, but Bear quality is so hit and miss. I have some from the late 1990s (Bear Jaws tools, mostly) to present, and many have issues.

Something tells me, especially in that it is SMKW that owns the Queen trademarks, the whole "production to restart in Ohio" never came to be.

Schatt & Morgan is owned by Gilbert & Debbie Cooper. DFC filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy (liquidation).

The info on the trademark "Queen City" is a bit weird. There is this one, that shows it is owned by Gilbert Cooper:
Word Mark QUEEN CITY

And then there is this one that says it is owned by SMKW. I think what this is telling us is that SMKW applied to take ownership on 4/6/2020. That would explain the "(APPLICANT)" shown below. There isn't two records like this for the S&M trademark.

Word Mark QUEEN CITY

Wow! sure did not take long for a historic American cutlery's name to be slapped on china junk. So sad when you really think about it ::barf:: The sad part is people will actually buy them ::facepalm::

It won't be long until the Chinese Shatt and Morgan knives will be made.

According to SMKW website they list 7 Queen City products. Six are listed as 'made in China'. The remaining knife, listed as a Red Smooth Bone trapper is listed as 'made in the USA'. Earlier this year on one of the "Guys Talk Knives" YouTube videos there was a discussion that they (SMKW) had acquired rights to the name/trade mark and they had to scramble to have some of their products made with this tang stamp to keep from losing the trade mark. I believe the first knife was made in the USA and was listed as a mini trapper in black composite (now listed as out of stock). Hopefully SMKW will have more of this product (Queen City) made in the USA. This is not to be meant to be a knock on their China made product, I just would like to see more of everything made here in the U.S.
