Schrade Old Timer 33OT

Good afternoon all. Hope this find y'all doing well.
I have this Old Timer that has puzzled me and would appreciate any input.
I cannot find any information on it, so any information will be greatly helpful.

That knife appeared in the catalogs from 1976 until the end of the company in 2004. It has Delrin plastic handles and is held together by what is called 'Swinden' construction rather than through pins. It is possible that very late manufacture examples had stainless steel blades, but other than that narrow exception they have 1095 non-stainless or what is usually and misleadingly called 'carbon' or 'high carbon' blades (All Schrade steel whether stainless or not is high-carbon steel). It is a good quality and very useful knife.

Those threaded bolsters sure are unusual. Perhaps an end-of days knife? I really don't see any evidence of a homemade job, so obviously factory.

The 33OT is a bit of a problem with me. I'm used to the 34OT, carried one since I was 10. The high sheepsfoot blade is easy to get to. But, the 33OT really got me into jack knives, and I occasionally carry one. One of my work beaters is a tipped example, and I have a decent one in the collection.

Tongueriver pretty much has it covered. The only odd thing is the lined bolsters, which look like the same ones used on the 1980’s heritage series knives. Unusual for a run of the mill 33ot.

Ok, thanks guys. I am familiar with the Schrades, somewgat, but the grooved bolsters waa a new one to me also. I know some os the Schrade Walden knives had grooved bolsters, so I didn't know if transmission knife possibly, even though there are a few years between Schrade Walden stamp ending and the first 33OT.
Yrs, the bolster do favor the Heritage Series as well.
