3 tine forks

ok, while i rarely go in the kitchen, i do have this peculiar fondess for these type forks.
i found these yesterday at a yard sale. two dollars.
i have not been able to find any knives to go with them.
the forks lack a makers mark.

They make that stuff just a few miles from here.
Pretty sure you don't use a fork with it.

hey gringo ..that was funny...dont bring a fork comment. im gonna take pics of a serving fork i cleaned up i got at a yardsale for 1.00$.

ill toss a pic up later. maybe you can help me with something on it. i have a guess for what its for but not positive.

you never know what your gonna find in your own kitchen. whne we bought the house we lived in now they left alot behind. which i didnt mind. out of the cllean up came some neat cigar boxes,a few schrade knives and a whole bunch of cool flatware that is stamped. a couple pieces by case.

a pic below is the only case carver i have ever seen with a shield. if someone has any case kitchenware with shileds leyt me know i would love to see them!!!!
i have a nice collection of kitchen gear.

robeson carver shown with pig shield too...gotta love that shield.it also looks alot better now. the blade is clean enough to use in the kitchen. with kitchen ware i always keep it cleaned. you never know when you might get the urge to use a nice carver!! folks forget you can have a good ole knife fun time in the kitchen...and it one of the few places a can talk knives with the wife and her not get ..well you know...that look when another package comes to the door.haha!

i put up 2 other case carvers with a dotting system on it. this was found same salvation army{read below} different day.pne has patent # i put link below to if interested.



is that not a beautiful case carver or what. i love that they put a shield on it. i actually called case for info on that knife i was excited to find. the gentleman at case asked me about the shiled and with his books he dated it to around 1955-1958!!! he said they also during those years only used the shield for 2 of them. they dropped the shield do to cost. this case carver was actually in a utensil bin at a salvation army!! yup of all places. i stop in and check their utensil bin once in awhile. one day that carver was just laying on top. heres a link to the patent # on the blade which actually has to do with how the blade was grinded. reading patents are neat. http://www.google.com/patents?id=Q75DAA ... _1#PPA1,M1

GRINGO if you have more kitchen stuff hit me up i would love to share some other with you. i have some MAC pieces. they go well on the bay. also i have some QuiKut pieces as well. they are neat. a ton of imperial. some sheffield. a little wade and butcher even.i have a beautiful case meat cleaver as well that i love chopping the heck out of stuff with. it would cut a yin can full right in half. its like an axe in the kitchen!! ITS THE CLEAVER PICKED!

also GRINGO love the clover on that one fork.

also in th pics is a knife with no stamp but i love how it feels in the hand and is built well. i can tell its for the kitchen but it seems so powerful although its small. is it a mini carver???

These may be from close to the same era. A bit more embellished, the same idea. That paring knife looks to be an early Henckels'.

Nice forks. I remember when I was a kid,my Grandmother would not have a three tine fork in her house. She thought they were evil and said they were made by the devil. Funny thing ,to this day if I'm in a restaurant and they give me a tri - tine , I ask for another one.
Guess her superstitions wore off on me.
