3" schrade walden with early stamps on both blades. It's a real dandy.
I also have one with plastic handles that makes a nice carry knife.

Re: Congress Is In Session!
Robeson and a John Primble.
The Robeson was rusted and stiff when I got it. Walked up on the previous owner using pliers to get any of the blades out that he could. Unsuccessfully, I might add. He still insisted upon a $5 price tag. I gladly paid that for it and started cleaning on it that night.
The John Primble is still in need of some work.

I'm not 100% sure if 2 of these 3 knives qualify.
Pretty sure the 4 blade is a Congress.
Anyway they are Boker, Camillus and Camillus.

Here is a definition I found. Reading this I would guess all 3 would qualify.New_Windsor_NY wrote:I'm not 100% sure if 2 of these 3 knives qualify.Pretty sure the 4 blade is a Congress.

Congress Knives
"Traditional Congress knives are easily recognized by their convex front curved handle. These slip joints often feature two or more blades, with the most common having four. Typical Congress slip joints have a sheepsfoot, spear, coping, and pen blade."

David, by that definition then, calling a two blade a half Congress would be incorrect? I have always referred to 2 blade Congresses as “half” because I heard them called that in my early collecting days. Maybe it just helps to clarify what one is talking about? Interesting.

Thank you. I agree, it appears that all 3 qualify as "Congress" pattern/style knives.dlr110 wrote:Here is a definition I found. Reading this I would guess all 3 would qualify.New_Windsor_NY wrote:I'm not 100% sure if 2 of these 3 knives qualify.Pretty sure the 4 blade is a Congress.

I picked up this nice Hen & Rooster Half Congress recently. It is the 322-SF pattern with a blue swirl acrylic handle material. New in the box.

Jerry, That is a fine collection of varied Congresses. I've always liked stepped bolsters as in the top photo.
