Custom Spyderco
Hello fellers
been awhile since I was here. I just finished up this little Spyderco today, and thought I would post it, havent done so in awhile. I made this for an Uncle who retired from Mobil oil, thus the winged horse. I overlayed the handle with a piece of silver, the horse is gold, and the initials silver. All hand cut and hand engraved. Let me know what you think. You guys be good.

I think you are invited to my retirement party!
Man that is nice work!
Your uncle will cherish that from now on.

I really like the artistic layout and choice in the engraved pattern.

Thanks fellows, I appreciate the comments. I make lots of these, and have 15 or so more to make, Christmas is a busy time.
Redrummd, My old buddy D.C. Lance has engraved a few knives for you I think. D.C. is one heck of a good guy, one of my best buddies. He is doing some nice work.

Thank you for the comments. I am a fan of your stuff. You do some real nice work.
This kind of thing isnt hard, holler anytime I will be glad to give you a hand or help anyway I can. I have a back ground in western silversmithing, so it comes easy working on knives. Please holler if I can help in anyway.

Re: Custom Spyderco
It's a small world it seems.
Yes, D. C. is a very good guy to work with and his work is very nice. I am working on another group to send to him this week. I had a group of three planned on the three Buck 110's I have up on Ebay but I had 2 expensive equipment failures I have to pay for. So, I am having an Ebay "fire sale" on the knives I had planned to send to D. C.....

Yeah it is a small world, and the western silver world is real small. Everyone knows everyone. I guess DC is headed home this week. You need to get him those knives sent and keep that old dog busy, he dont need to be laying around the house.
I understand the equipment failure, it happens here all the time. Murphy lives in my shop

If he lives in your shop he must just be visiting my shop. Can I send him home now?cavemans workshop wrote:

I bought a Jet 1 HP, 10" buffer in April just before the OKCA show. The start capacitor went out after about a week. The got me a new one about 3 days before the show, but I didn't have nearly as much stuff for the show as I wanted.
Fast Forward to November 1st.....capacitor goes out again. I called my supplier on November 3rd & they have another one coming......should be here at the end of this week, maybe even as soon as Wednesday.
But Murphy as outstayed his welcome at my shop.
