Wanted: Sabre Japan Knives

Yes you read that right, I'm seeking Japanese Sabre knives as crazy as that may sound to some. I'm looking for only Japanese manufactured Sabres in very good condition with little to no use. Below I'll post some of the knives I have to trade, will trade multiple for worthwhile pieces. Thanks!

Left to right:
Kai Kut - maybe carried or shelf wear, but seems to have original edge.
Illegible mark likely turn of the century German
Jansen Germany, nicks at edge of pearl
Imperial Prov RI Solid handle - short blade
Corning Knife Co NY
Imperial Prov RI USA
Schrade Old Timer
Hoffritz Japan - beautiful pearl, blade shows some scratches, good EDC
Empire Knife Co - Broken and chipped handles strictly for repair but it would be a sweetie if it was

Hello, new to the AAPK family. I have an old Sabre, American Knife Co, Japan, fixed blade hunter with a 4 3/4 inch blade, approximately 9 inches overall length with stag handles. It was my Cub Scout camping knife in the 1950's. It predates the Sabre numbering system (Sabre on the blade with no number and American Knife Co Japan on the other side). It looks like a Sabre 23 I've seen. Interested? I might be willing to trade for something and give a little or take a little.

Don't know yet how to attach a photo or two for you. If you're interested, I'll try to figure out how to do it. I'm most often a buyer and don't sell much, but saw your Wanted Post and thought I'd reply. These were not very high quality knives, so I won't miss it from my collection. My kids are all grown and I only have granddaughters, so no one will be wanting it. I'm retired U.S. Army and my son has my old Ka-Bar from back in my Ranger days in the military and my old Cutco Fly-Lock automatic that I carried as a kid. I do collect old U.S. made automatics (not the new stuff), although, I do carry an older Boker Top-Lock in my pocket now. Even if you're not interested in my old Sabre, you might have something you want to sell. Let me know.

About 100 years ago when I was a kid there was a drug store close to home where you could buy any Sabre in the display for $1.19 and I had quite a few. Didn't last long cause I was pretty hard on them.

Welcome to AAPK! Your Sabre fixed blade is a nice old knife! Amazing you've held on to it this long!!!

New Member. here.. I re-read your post , but had a photo loaded to share.. SABRE Toolbox.. 13 element black item ,, 6 on each side, one bottle-opener. Thick.... One of the blades does say Sabre China.. do not know year... No damage...... I posted today in New Member introduction.. I was from the upstate New York region.. Your photo has a interesting CORNING knife, this region is sort of on my watch / wish list.

Not sure what a “Corning” knife is, unless it has something to do with the Corning glass company.
