Being new here you probably don’t know it, but if you’re patient someone who knows the answer will likely respond. Or you can post the question in the Eye Brand subforum here, where folks who collect them tend to hang out. viewforum.php?f=65 Another option is to do a search for “Eye Brand” or “Schlieper” in the Tang Stamps thread. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=39799

Edit: I found this post in the Tang Stamps thread. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=39799&p=845111&hili ... er#p845083 Not sure if it answers your question so you may have to just wait until someone who knows Eye Brand responds.

Re: Carl Schlieper Eye Brand knife age??
Pictures now posted. Most Eye Brand knives have a blade etch and this helps to date the knife. If yours had an etch it is now worn off.
My guess as to age is 1970's. Hopefully others will post and either confirm or correct this.
Handles are celluloid which can break down (aka "off gas") and the case given off will deeply corrode all the metal (blades, liners, springs, bolsters & shield).

My guess is some time in the 1960's given The straight line stamp and that particular shield. Unfortunately eye brand knives aren't easy to pin down to specific years.
