Let the decorating begin!

If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

jerryd6818 wrote: Fri Nov 29, 2019 3:59 pm Well it is only a little over three weeks until the big day. All you decorators get busy or you won't have time to be sick of it by the 25th. Linnea does enough for both of us so I just drive over to her house to get my fill. That way I don't have to go back and take stuff down after it's only been up for a couple of weeks. Three weeks are going to fly by. Is it time to start saying Merry Christmas already? Gosh, before we know it, it will be 2020.

Edit: I forgot to mention Bah Humbug.

My wife loves decorating for Christmas. Me not so much.I hauled 2 truck loads of stuff to the house that we store at the farm office.Much more on the inside of the house than out.

Hello cudgee, I was wondering the other day if someone would beat me to starting up this thread again for this year. I'll have our pic's posted in a couple of days when Cheryl says she's done decorating and I can take pictures.

Thru my sister I met a lively elderly lady who is filled with a wonderful spirit. Although living alone, she is barely mobile due to various serious illnesses.
She has always loved Christmas but realized several years ago she no longer had the energy to put up decorations. Her solution: She had her family put up a huge tree in her living room, totally decorated, plus abundant other decorations such as wreaths, candy canes, abundant lights, etc. etc. And thus her house remains, 365 days a year.

Thanks for the kind words and right back at yawl, great looking arrangements by all. The boss gets all the credit for ours about all I do is tote the boxes in and out for her. The out side photos are of the son's house with all the chasing lights, quite a show that cannot be captured by photographing ::handshake::

Thats cute.
Kitties find all the best warm spots, my son has three inside only cats and they are spoiled rotten. They love the heat registers and Christmas time, they have the biggest time climbing in the tree 🎄 playing with boxes, packages and paper sacks

Nice to see everyone's Christmas spirit, thanks for sharing. We put up a tree every year the day after Thanksgiving, this year we found a beautiful 9 ft Douglas Fir, the girls had a blast decorating it.

Absolutely fantastic tree.👍 👏 👌
Imo getting to watch the children help decorate the 🌲 is one of the great parts of the season. They love it and you're building great memories. I have fond memories of Dad and me going out and and finding the perfect cedar tree,, cutting it and dragging it to the house only to find when we got it on the stand it wasn't near as perfect as it was down on the hillside. But it sure was fun. ::super_happy:: .::tu:: ::handshake::
