Almost lost a couple knives today

Post by Case XX 6383 »

Went hunting deep in the mountains today. Put these 2 in a zipper closed pocket. When I got back to the car after Dark I had unzipped the picket looking for mmt keys. I stripped the overalls off and looked down to change my boots and both knives had fell out and were laying in the gravel rd. I was one glimpse from not realizing it

Normally these stories go the other way. Never to be seen again. ::dang::

That would have made me beyond sick! I'm glad they were found!

Whew, now that certainly qualifies as a close one! I am very happy that you found them. You might want to consider not taking that beautiful Case Tested whittler out in the deep woods any more. I personally find it much easier to lose smaller knives like that one. ::hmm::

That would have been a terrible loss, every knife man would feel the pain. OH
Deep in the guts of most men is buried the involuntary response to the hunter's horn, a prickle of the nape hairs, an acceleration of the pulse, an atavistic memory of his fathers, who killed first with stone, and then with club...Robert Ruark

That's another reason not to like extreme cold weather! That ol' big 5375 wanted to be in your right front pocket of your jeans, not hid out in a jacket pocket. ::nod:: I've got several monkey suits that I resort to when the cold invades the Panhandle, makes me look like the Pillsbury doughboy. The pockets also have openings to reach inside to the next layer. Many times I've experienced my knife, keys or some rifle shells dribbling down my leg and coming out by my boots.
So glad you recovered those two beauties!
