Nice to see everyone's Christmas spirit, thanks for sharing. We put up a tree every year the day after Thanksgiving, this year we found a beautiful 9 ft Douglas Fir, the girls had a blast decorating it.

Absolutely fantastic tree.
Imo getting to watch the children help decorate the is one of the great parts of the season. They love it and you're building great memories. I have fond memories of Dad and me going out and and finding the perfect cedar tree,, cutting it and dragging it to the house only to find when we got it on the stand it wasn't near as perfect as it was down on the hillside. But it sure was fun. .

Found it in a shop in Albuquerque several years ago. And we were warned that the donkeys ears were easily broken. But it and the sheep are favorites of mine as well. Thanks.

Thru my sister I met a lively elderly lady who is filled with a wonderful spirit. Although living alone, she is barely mobile due to various serious illnesses.
She has always loved Christmas but realized several years ago she no longer had the energy to put up decorations. Her solution: She had her family put up a huge tree in her living room, totally decorated, plus abundant other decorations such as wreaths, candy canes, abundant lights, etc. etc. And thus her house remains, 365 days a year.

Garry, we did a similar thing at the school board maintenance shop. We had an artificial tree on a work bench decorated with all sorts of plumbing, electrical and HVAC parts and pieces. A few bows and ribbons and a wax seal for a topping. After Christmas we put a heavy duty garbage bag over it and waited for next Christmas!

Everyone is showing some fantastic decorations. I like the more reserved, to the point ones, not like the one on the tv ad where it can be seen from the space station. lol

Like most in our 70+ age group, we have been downsizing on everything, Christmas included. Having gone from a 9' tree gradually down to a 5' tree we have a large container of ornaments, many vintage, that we no longer have space to hang. It's causing some pain for my wife but I'm somewhat of a minimalist and am happy with the look. Outside decorating is a definite no-no due my disability, anything needing even a step ladder is out of the question.

That is a great vacation purchase! Have not been to Albuquerque, it is on my list. We visited Santa Fe and Taos a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed the Native craft markets.

Ike, we much prefer Taos and Santa Fe. We have stayed numerous times in Taos and from there visited or stayed in Santa Fe. Love that area of the state. Thanks.

Cool centerpiece and I like that Nativity set. We had an old plaster paris set that belonged to my grandparents when I was a kid. I'd like to find that.

Thanks. My wife made the centerpiece (we pick on her and call it the Christmas slug). The nativity set was made by my sister for my parents probably 40 years ago and we enjoy it very much. Where it is located is a little tight but also offers a little more protection.
