Does "Nest Knife" mean something? Is it used for something specific? Looks like a lot of use left in that old cutter.

I suspect it dates back to the times when English cutleries had "touch marks" like the star & cross, pistol, barrel, lamp post, etc. The touch mark for S&R must have been that bird's nest.
this one has a fleam blade tip. for blood letting.probably a vet owned it. but doctors / barbers also bleed people. the s.r. company is listed as in operation from 1880 to 1900.
