From the scrap pile to a nice EDC!

Post by Jeffinn »

Like most of the larger Schrade knives this one was beaten and abused. Something about a large knife just makes people want to use them as a hammer! The liners and bolsters were pretty dinged up too but I managed to get them fairly clean. And of course the blades had seen a few trips to the old garage grinder, the knife sharpening tool of choice for some folks.
I replaced the handles with some micarta and replaced both of the blades with a couple of new Schrade replacements. I polished the blades up and I like that look but they do show every fingerprint and every little smudge!
Its far from perfect but will make a great user for someone out there.

Great looking work, and that canvas Micarta is a hot knife scale material right now. Another home run! ::tu::
