Anyone Familiar with this Knife?
I have this E.Bonsmann electrician or telephone company knife. Has anyone seen one like this or have any info on it. I am also curious about the logo which is a bell (reminiscent of an old Bell Telephone logo) with a capital “M” under it. Perhaps a German telephone company? If anyone has some information to share, I would appreciate it.

I think that’s the Bell telephone logo with someone’s initial under it. Like a service award. It’s too ornate to be a linesman’s knife.
Somewhere I gave a carpenters hammer that says Bell System.

Ernst Bonsmann was a German manufacturer of knives and surgical instruments that started in 1866. The logo on your knife: "3 anchors on a shield" was registered in 1912. They were still in business in 2000 but as a wholesaler but for what i don't know other than there is a connection to Opel cars.
It is a well made knife and could be quite old.

Thanks for that info. It is very well made with strong snap and zero side to side wiggle. I have always been attracted to electrician knives and this one really caught my eye. The design on the scales is very intricate and I agree that it does not seem to be a “standard issue” knife.
