That's what is stamped on the blade. "STAINLESS China" stamped on the backside of the blade.
Maybe a knock-off of the Beretta?

This one is etched "Stainless Steel 440 Italy" on the mark side of the tang. Along with "Beretta" on the mark side of the blade. Etched "Maserin" on the pile side of the integrated clip.
Forged on the anvil of discipline.

Steve Warden wrote: Thu Dec 17, 2020 1:19 pm While I don't have a "comfort knife" by Mark's definition, I always have a knife in my pocket that will come out for some fondling from time to time. I would say I do find comfort in that. Some may find it odd, but during those times I like to open the knife and take pleasure in the edge I've put on the blades. Having a sharp knife in hand is just, well, comforting!

This has been a fun thread to follow. I do believe I shall continue ::tu:: ::tu::
That's exactly what I'm talk'in about Steve, and it doesn't sound "odd" at all! ::tu:: In my case, I don't get out much anymore, so my choices don't go any farther than my table, but if I did get out I would still have a knife with me to do with what you've described. It's all the same thing, on the table, in your pocket, etc., the point is, that having your knife with you brings pleasure and comfort, for wherever you are, or for whatever reasons. This thread is the little brother of the "What are you carrying right now" thread, just more along the lines of indoors as opposed to outdoors! Glad you enjoy the posts, and hope you do continue following it! BTW, that's one gorgeous Beretta Jaguar you have there! ::nod:: 8)

Well, I'm in a "snappy" mood today, so let's go with an auto! This is an AGA Campolin Zero leverlock that is 8 3/4" oal/black-coated dagger blade with blood groove, brushed SS bolsters liners lever and screws, adjustable pivot, black-textured G-10 scales, and removeable pocket-clip. Due to all the SS on this knife it weighs-in at about 8 oz.'s, and only the bottom edge is sharpened. Fires like a cannon, and locks-up tight with NO play! There is a larger model called the Zero+, and it's built identically to this one, but, 1 1/2" longer, and I hope to acquire one of those sooner or later. There's a small shield that comes with this knife, and it's meant to fill the hole in the scale that appears when you remove the pocket-clip, and I think that was a classy move on AGA's part! This folder is solid as the day is long, and to be sure I didn't break it by over-use, I ordered a clone from China that's currently in the mail, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed it doesn't get inspected and seized by Customs! I'll keep ya updated on that one! Lemme tell ya, I'm plenty comfortable with this one beside me! 8)

Wow,I had to dig some, the holey knife just says 440 stainless China. I bought 3 knives for 10 bucks, shipped to get the RR barlow, the 2 bottom ones are just fodder. I probably have used the holey knife more in the last year or so than any knife I own. I've opened to many packages, cut wires ,zip ties and clam packs too remember, matter of fact the yeller handle buckshot use to get most of that work but now is semi retired. It's a cheap China flipper that the spring broke and I made it into a fixed blade.

P.S. it makes a pretty good pry bar ::facepalm::

Thank you! But I do believe it's a Chinese knock-off. "Beretta" is no where to be found on the knife.
My research shows Beretta to be made in the USA and/or Japan.

The action on mine is silky smooth, no slop with the blade in transition (stays where you leave it if you're in mid-open or close), and a nice, tight frame lock-up. No play or wobble with the blade at all.
Take care and God bless,

Steve

I'm definitely finding that if one can get past the Chinese aspect, you can wind-up with some fairly decent knives. ::nod:: And keep in mind, "imitation is the sincerest form of appreciation"! 8)

Chose my brand new 1987 Case 2138 Sodbuster slip-joint as today's companion! Measuring 8 1/2" oal/SS drop-point blade with n/n, brass liners pivot and pins, and jet-black delrin scales. Has all the usual markings, and weighs about 4 oz.'s. This one arrived with the original factory edge that is SHARP! Silky-smooth walk, and loud talk when opening/closing. I've long been attracted to this knife's simple, effective shape and size, and certainly understand why so many folks swear by this folder as their regular EDC. A great knife that was built to be used and abused! 8)

Wouldn't say hooked but if you can get an automatic for the same money as a manual then why not. They are legal now in Indiana where I live.

My choice for today's knife is this Frost Cutlery Flying Falcon linerlock! It is 8" oal/SS bayonet blade with partial serration and thumb-stud, SS grooved body and single liner, and a lanyard hole. Big, beefy weight of about 6 oz.'s, and extremely sharp. All the usual Frost markings. I have a thing for all metal knives, and this inexpensive folder connects all the dots for me! 8)

I absolutely love the look of a Congress Knife, but have never liked one in the pocket (my own issue I reckon). I like looking at them and keep some on display to view. I won this Office Knife this past spring in a GAW on Blade Forums; its a lovely knife, perfect fit & finish as well as walk & talk. It stays on my desk and gets used a lot for what it was designed to be - a desk knife. A lady I've worked with for many years gave me an alabaster desk block - the knife fits nicely there and is always in front of me. OH

I have one of those (the knife, not the alabaster desk block  ) and I wouldn't trade it for all the tea in China.

I opted for my Herbertz 7 1/4" oal lockback folding dagger as my partner for today! It's got a SS single-edged dagger blade with n/n, NS bolsters, brass liners and pins, and grey(almost looks powder blue)ringed micarta scales. About 4 oz.'s, and reasonably sharp. Only marked with a front tang stamp of "ROSTFREI". Fits my hand like it was made for it! Built in Japan by Tak Fukutu! 8)
