I've got one with blue handles that has made it into my edc rotation.
Half stops, great snap, light weight, shaving sharp VG-10 steel blade.

Here is another candidate for the "BUKC" A present from my oldest son one year.It came mounted on a wooden display. No sheath for obvious reasons.Knuckle duster guard with rearward facing barbs on the top and both sides of the blade.If you ever stuck it into something(or someone)you could never pull it out!

In the mid to late 1990’s my hunting buddies were going Gah-Gah over the gut hook knives. They looked odd to me but I decided to give one a try and bought this Western in 1998 (identical to the Remington of the day - both made by Camillus). I used it one time, the gut hook worked but no better than an edge and the blade was much too wide for working on the 90 - 120 lbs whitetail does (meat deer) that are typical for our area. I think more than anything I was put off by the ugliness of the blade - never have liked the look of a gut hook on a blade. OH

I'm with you on this one Colonel. I've never shot a deer nor have I even seen one that someone else killed but I've seen plenty of those gut-hook knives and wouldn't give you a dime for a car load of them.
