The last tag Dad stuck on it was $900 .
Guess he was still tempting me to sell it .
He did that a lot with my guns too .
I almost hated to show him some new things I came across . He would grab things & say you don't need this .... I'll take it .
When I bought a few estates ...... both Mom & Dad was all over it !
They always paid me ..... what I paid for things they wanted . It was a good time for all .
Over the years people have told me why do you buy junk ?
Thing is if you keep some junk long enough ...... it is worth a few bucks .
I bought a truck load of penny scales years ago for around $20 each . The last one I sold was for $2000 .
The two I kept had great stories behind them .
And then there is horse trading ....... to me that is the most fun of all . My parents taught me all about that . Over the years I have developed my own style of trading . People would want a large item I have & was willing to trade me a good small item they had ...... like good knives . Knives take up way less room than a juke box ...... yep I traded .
