Did you use epoxy to patch the bone?
If yes, what did you use to color it?

I used 2 part polyester resin to patch. and proof tint wood stain to color .a dremel tool to jig. then waxed and buffed it.

Did you put the stain in the wet epoxy or stain it after the epoxy was dry?
I've used acraglass to patch handles. It works great, but I have a very hard time matching colors.
It comes with 2 small tubes of dye (black & brown). You put it in the wet epoxy.
