2020 What did Santa bring you?
I know that 2020 brought a lot of misery to people. Hopefully Santa helped to offset that a little. While we dialed back our gift-giving this year, I did receive these great reproduction cutlery signs. I plan to hang them in my office at work...

I got a bottle of Irish Whiskey that I'll probably be sipping on this evening.
I also have a Leatherman Free T4 at my local Post Office but it didn't quite make it here in time for Christmas. Both gifts are from my wonderful wife.

That Benchmade is a beauty. Love it. Congratulations.

Thanks again Wade.

Very nice gifts everyone!
these 2 are from my girlfriend-- the top one has my father's signature embossed on it, she scanned it from one of his old hunting licenses I have...the copperlock is in my pocket...

Re: 2020 What did Santa bring you?
Something I’ve wanted since I was a little kid. My dads bench at work had one and I liked to play with it. Since then I’ve wished I had one from time to time.
It’s a desk lamp with a large magnifying glass and a round light bulb around it. Mine is an LED and it came with a bench mount and a pedestal.

Nice! I've been really looking at that one myself, to shave some weight off. Benchmades are pretty darn expensive. I bought both of mine (154CM Mini Griptillian; D2 Bone Collector Mini) used (one of them here) for under $60 used.

Re: 2020 What did Santa bring you?
I really like how that one zips up. I don't' like Sack-Ups because of the stick-on Velcro that closes the flap (it falls off) and having to lace them up. I have a pair of "Safe & Sound" cases (probably made by Blue Ridge); that are supposed to hold 48. One, it actually fits about 24 "regular size" knives (anything 3 1/8" or bigger). Secondly, If the elastic is a little loose (say, from a smaller knife being placed in a slot where a multitool or large folder was), knives fall out, even when the case is snapped up. In retrospect, I should have gotten that design you show.
My favorite is a leather roll-up pouch made to hold wood chisels. But, leather tends to not do well with non-stainless steels. I mostly have tactical folders in that pouch, thus, they're all fairly rust-resistant stainless steels.

Ryan, your signature knife is outstanding. You might want to hang on to that gal.
What an incredibly thoughtful gift!

Re: 2020 What did Santa bring you?
Nice! I have a few Wostenholm and one Cattaragus, and I might look into getting something like that to build a display. I really don't display much artwork. I have a large technical drawing (which came from a former American LaFrance employee; who had retired from teaching at a community college, and needed to get rid of it) of a fire truck American LaFrance built here in my town in my office (in front of which is a shelf of mostly 1950s fire apparatus models), and in my room is a few photos, and the various certifications I've earned "for the heck of it". Basically, stuff I did in my spare time during the summer. I'd planned to get my EMT Basic as the summer project this year (something I've wanted to do since I was a teenager, and in some jobs, you get a bonus for having it), but then COVID hit.glennbad wrote: ↑Fri Dec 25, 2020 5:17 pm I know that 2020 brought a lot of misery to people. Nice! I really like the shape of the pattern of the knife. I prefer discs over thumb studs, but you don't see them that much outside of Emerson. The technology for doing stuff like that engraving is getting really interesting these days. I knew companies could take company logos and do similar work, but I didn't know about signatures.
