I'm feeling bright and shiny today after a couple of trying days, so I picked my bright and shiny Mikov all-metal folder as my knife for today! This one is 8 1/2" oal/SS bayonet blade with false top-edge and stud, SS body pins and stationary pocket-clip, and exposed liner for closing. A robust 5 oz.'s, and very sharp. Has the Mikov markings, and made in the Czech Republic. As is likely obvious, you close the blade by pushing down on the exposed liner and fold closed. My picture doesn't show this, but this knife shines like the sun! A very well constructed knife!

This one is 8" oal/SS drop-point blade, SS bolsters and liners, screw construction, adjustable pivot, recessed button so no safety, black textured G-10 covers, lanyard hole, and a pocket-clip. A comfortable weight of about 4 oz.'s, and razor-sharp. Displays all the Ganzo markings. These knives are so much fun to play with, and if you break it, it was so inexpensive that it can be easily replaced! I don't know how they can keep pumpin' these out for about US$25., but they do! I haven't had this knife out of it's case for awhile, so I picked it as my knife of the day! It's a CRKT "Psych" that is 8 3/4" oal/SS dagger blade with fuller and jimping on 25% of the top false-edge, SS hardware, black grooved G-10 covers, pocket-clip, and unique opening/closing system. Weighs-in at about 5 oz.'s, and only the bottom edge is sharpened. The knife is a Ken Steigerwalt design. In order to open the blade one must push on the button located just below the front bolster, pull on the bolster much like one would with a flipper, swing the blade to the fully open position, and pull down on the bolster to lock it into place. When I first saw these I was fascinated by how they open/close, so I bought one, and am quite pleased with it, it's a super knife! My pics show the opening process, and to close it you reverse the steps!

That is an interesting knife. I have gained a lot of respect for CRKT since I bought one a few months ago. Like Kershaw, their knives made in China are not throw away knives at all, the quality is very high. That one looks like it’s very high quality as well. I have never seen that opening/locking mechanism and it’s intriguing.

Thanks Mark! In-hand it does feel like a quality piece, and it wasn't cheap, if that has anything to do with it, and once it's locked-up it's as solid as a fixed blade!

I brought out this Spanish handmade linerlock stiletto for my table knife today. It is 8" oal/dual-edged Damascus dagger blade with stud, brass bolsters with fish-scale engraving, brass liners and pins, dyed giraffe bone covers, and file-worked liners and spine. Due to all the brass on this knife it weighs-in at about 7 oz.'s, and both edges sharpened. Totally unmarked. I've never been a fan of file-work, but on this one I must say it looks teriffic!

I had purchased 2 other knives from the seller for US$245. each, but both had minor defects that I was able to easily correct, but the seller was so concerned that I wasn't happy with my purchases that he insisted that I choose another knife free of charge, and this one is that knife, so it's that much sweeter!

I purged all brass bolstered knives from my collection several years ago, due to the tarnishing issues. But I could make and exception for that one. The bolsters on that one are beautiful. I wish I could see a close up of the bolsters. That is a very nice looking knife.

Yes it really is Garry! The 2 issues were so minor, and only took me 10 minutes with very little effort to correct both of them, that I felt kindda bad that he was so insistent that I choose another knife, but the more I argued against it the harder he pushed, so at that point accepting seemed the right thing to do. So instead of 2 knives costing me US$245. a piece, 3 knives cost me US$164. a piece, which I was pretty happy about!

Your wish is my command my friend! Hope these pics help a bit, they're the best my laptop can do! I also realize that in pic #4 the blade appears warped, but it's just the angle I was holding the knife at! I took the last shot to try to show the difference between tarnished brass, and shiny brass!

This is my pal for today fellas! It's a Shelman 8" oal lockback dagger built by Seizo Imai in Japan, and has a SS bayonet blade with fuller, cast accented bolsters, SS liners and pins, and green textured composite covers. About 5 oz.'s, and sharp. Multiple markings on the mark side, and blank on the pile side. Nice dagger by one of the Masters!

I was thinking to myself that I'm not getting the pleasure out of my automatics as much as I'd like to, so I figured I'd start correcting that oversight, starting today with this Frank B swivel bolster model! It's 11" oal/SS bayonet blade, SS bolsters button and safety-cap, brass liners and pins, and white pearlex covers. Comfortable weight of about 5 oz.'s, and sharp as the day it was built. Has genuine Frank B markings. This knife is over 35 years old and still fires strong, locks-up tight and solid, and remains chip and crack free!
