1211 w/Serrations

The KA-BAR brand originated as a trademark of the Tidioute Cutlery Company. Tidioute was later taken over & renamed the Union Cutlery Company which continued making the brand until Union eventually adopted it as the company name in 1952. Cutco Corporation later acquired the company in 1996.

1211 w/Serrations

This is one of my favorites. Always reliable for outdoor use. Keeps its edge and the serrations are great for minor utility work on the side like cutting rope. Rubber grip handle is nice too.

I really want to try a serrated version. I have Ontario and Camillus versions of the Marine Combat, and use the heck out of them. I prefer the ones with metal guards (the Ontario has a big rubber overmold with integrated guard) since they snap into the hard Kabar sheath.
