Chicago Cutlery folder............

Just picked this one up this afternoon on the way home from a job. Stopped in to see my old friend Dennis at his antique store only to discover it isn't his store anymore! He has officially retired as of January 1st and has sold the store.
I met the new owner and she seems quite nice and promises to keep her eye out for knives I might be interested in.
Anyway one of the vendors had this one and a wood handled Kutmaster TL-29(non military)that had a small portion of the screwdriver blade broken. A little judicious work with the belt sander and it is fixed albeit about 1/4 inch short.
This is my first Chicago Cutlery knife and I must say it is a very well constructed knife.Model # is LH-4 and the name cut into the handle is the Traveler. Looks more like a small fillet knife rather than a folding hunter.With the blade open you can barely see the joint between the blade and back spring.Came with a belt pouch that has a small raised area on the side that retains the knife in it until it is pulled out.Nice safety idea.and cost $21. The Kutmaster was $4.
Cleaning up the Kutmaster and repaired a crack in one of the handles.The CC only needed a little oil.Might try carrying it on my belt for a few days.

The Chicago Cutlery knife looks like a Schrade "MA5". "MA" = Mighty Angler.
Here are a couple of CC Folding Hunters, made by Schrade i think. One has the "Break Through Point".

Here are 2 single blade 5" Chicago Cutlery folders. These blades look more like Camillus than Schrade. They are from the 1980's i think and by then Schrade & Camillus were under the same ownership and sharing some of the contract work so it could be a Camillus blade in a Schrade frame.
