I am possible interested in purchasing a Case knife with a missing bale.
Is this something I can easily replace myself? I tried calling WR Case 3 times today
to no avail. Would they send me one? Do you need special tools to install?
Thanks in advance.

What pattern is it? Some may be trickier than others.

I have a number of 'spare ' bales. How exactly you attach them is not part of my skill set though. I think my spares mostly came from Case 6445R Scout/Utility knives. If you can confirm that one would fit your knife, its yours. And then maybe you can yell me how to attach them.

The older Case knives have this same set up. The newer ones do not. Case probably will not send you one. They will tell you they do not sell parts. At least that's what they told me when I tried to buy a marlin spike. You might send your knife in and they might fix it for you - worth a try.

Thanks. I should get the knife in about 5-6 days and will let you know.
