Papaw's whittler

So the story is at age 17 (2007) I bought this 6 dot 6380 for myself off ebay for $108 to carry. Recently after acquiring it I showed it to my papaw trying to recieve his validation. He said it was the best feeling knife he had ever handled. I laid it up and gave it to him that Christmas. It was his EDC until he lost it sometime I believe 2012, he had alzheimers and died in 2013. So in 2012 I was at my uncle's house and saw this 6380 laying with his pile of pocket contents. I asked where he got it and he said he found it in papaws gravel driveway and didn't know who's it might be. I told him I had given it to papaw and he offered it to me to keep as it had no meaning to him.

That’s an extra special knife in so many ways! Not to mention it’s a fantastic knife in is own right.

Great story, it’s my favorite Case pattern ever, although I find a’47 pattern more useful.

I am so glad that you got the knife back. That is a very good knife, but the sentimental value makes it priceless!
