Finally own a U.S 8OT Thands to Dale .

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

Finally own a U.S 8OT Thands to Dale .

Post by zed6309 »

Hi all hope everyone is well and safe 🍀 I was chatting with Dale a little while ago about a 8OT , it's one pocket knife I've wanted for many years but the closest I got in the uk was a Taylor brand 89ot , and there is nothing wrong with it but the 8ot is to me a iconic schrade pocket knife, well Dale sent me a amazing example and I love it , Thanks so much Dale as you have helped me out so many times, it's now in my pocket, sorry there not great pics as took them before I got some sleep ::tu::

Nice one Paul !
Are there any restrictions on pocket knives coming into U.K. via the mail ?
Here in Canada it is o.k. to get folding knives via mail except for automatic or flickable knives.

Nice one Paul.
(Beautiful gesture Dale!)

I really like the 8OTs too. They are the perfect size stockman in my opinion.

Nice knife Paul. I picked up one of those a few months ago. Fairly
well made knife. I cleaned mine up real good and keep it in my
car for “just in case”.

Very good Paul! Dale is a great guy and that’s a fine knife, just the right size too.
