It's Beer Thirty

If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

Supposedly it's #NationalPizzaDay, and what goes better with pizza than beer? ::shrug:: πŸ•πŸ»

Not wild about IPA, wishing this was a Pilsner. ::nod:: The pizza is Super Bowl leftovers.

Oh man, you guys are makin' me thirsty showing all those tasty brews. ::groove::

Personally, I'll just admit it: I have yet to find a beer I don't like. I'll even drink Bud or Coors Light in a pinch -- hey, as long as they're cold they're still slightly better than drinking horse pi$$ straight from the spigot ::barf:: (which, BTW, I have never actually done...at least there's no physical evidence proving otherwise...only the word of unreliable and obviously inebriated so-called "witnesses" ! ::paranoid:: ).

Truth be told, I like all types of beer: Lager, Pilsner, Stout, Porter, Wheat, etc...but these two IPAs are some of my favorites. ::drool:: ::woot::

~Q~ I tried a bottle of that Voodoo Ranger once. Maybe not exactly what you have there;
I don't remember the type ... but it was absolutely horrid !! Tasted like chemicals. I'm not
one to waste something I paid money for, but that stuff got poured down the drain ...

I have settled on Blue Moon wheat beer. Not a micro brew, but a decent bottle o' suds ...

::hmm:: Must be an acquired taste!

Actually, New Belgium makes several varieties in the Voodoo Ranger line...the Imperial IPA is the only one that I really like (the 9% alc. certainly helps!) ::nod::

New Belgium will deliver to certain States and DC too! I had a Sour variety pack delivered for Thanksgiving. Our cat Ireland is modeling the case it was shipped in.

In order of preference:

Yuengling Traditional
Modelo Negra / New Castle Brown Ale
Pabst Blue Ribbon
Keystone light (no this is not a typo)
Forged on the anvil of discipline.
The Few. The Proud.
Jerry D.

This country has become more about sub-groups than about it's unity as a nation.

Cause I like 'em and I'm not a beer snob. (Not saying anyone else on here is.)

Although I prefer craft beers and microbrews, I'm not above drinking the occasional Bud Light or Coors Light. I even went through a Mexican beer phase when I was living in So. Cal. that included Corona, Modelo, Pacifico, Tecate, among others. Believe me, no one here is less of a "beer snob" than me.

There are so many different types of beers available out there it would take a lifetime to sample them all. At one point I even tried making my own home brewed beer (was not entirely happy with the results...but that's a different story for another time/thread)

I can only echo the words of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh who famously said (somewhat defensively) during his Senate confirmation hearing: "I Like Beer!" ::woot::

Two beers from my past that I loved but cannot get here in Hawaii = Anchor Steam (San Francisco) and Dock Street (Philadelphia).

Free beer is the best beer! After all, you don't buy it, you rent it. 🀭

Yep, my two favorite types of beer:

1. Cold
2. Free

By the way Miller High Life is good beer. ::tu::

My favorite nickname for beer is "wobble pop".
