KABAR 10 inch clasp

Hi all, help would be appreciated. I have this KABAR by Union Cutlery Co and hope someone can identify it. I have searched for awhile, and have not found one quite the same. Perhaps you might have a number, or an age? It does not appear to have ever been sharpened and it is quite the heavy duty knife. Also wonder if the horn shaped bolster has a particular style name. Single blade, 10 inches in length open.

Very nice example!! late 1920s-to about 1940. The blade looks a little narrow but it may be your photos. Blade goes straight from tan a long ways, when new they had a visible curve. Beauty!!

Gunsil! Would you please explain, "blade goes straight from tan a long ways", don't know what that means? Thanks!

Maybe hard to explain if you don't understand. When new the sharp part of the blade curved toward the tip while yours goes pretty straight from the tang then curves up towards the tip. Yours just looks like it goes a little too straight which happens from use and sharpening. It may just be the angle your photo was taken from. It is a subtle curve.

Hi Oyster! I can't help with your questions, but someone will be along who can. Nice knife you have there, I've admired clasp knives for quite awhile and yours is a beauty. And, to AAPK!

Indeed, there is one and three quarters of an inch of blade in a straight line before the curve starts upwards. Measured this with a flat edge. Any idea of valuation if offered for sale?

That's a really nice golden oldie. Looks like celluloid handles. Tip: If you want to sell it, give the closed length instead of the opened length.
