One you don't see every day.

Post by TPK »

Hi friends,

I just ran across a knife with some strange blades on it. I'm not really very interested in it, I just thought I'd show you guys the pictures of it. I have no idea what it's for. It is stamped Pfeilring. This brand usually sells for pretty high prices over here so I assume that they made good quality knives. ::hmm:: Anyways, here are the pictures of it. If anyone knows what the strangest blade was made for please let us know. ::tu:: ::nod::
My first thought was a pencil sharpener but I don't see any blade for sharpening inside of it. ::shrug::

Well..., I found out what "Reolit" is as on the blade etch. Seems as if it was a brand name for tiles. ::hmm::

Hey folks, I think I figured it out. The same seller has something similar to the knife I posted at first. He calls this second tool an Orange 🍊 pealer. I guess it makes sense to say the first knife I posted is a fruit knife. ::hmm::

Edit: I just noticed that this second tool is also a Pfeilring. Which means Arrow Circle.

Cool knife. The arrow circle logo, tang stamp is one used by Muller & Schmidt Germany.
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

That's a new blade for me Tom.
Thanks for posting that. ::nod::
Out of curiosity I did a little research. The results are posted in pictures below.
Apparently it is called a "Channel Blade."
I suggest we call this a "Tommie Channel Blade"

Put the pictures and replies together and you probably have a bar knife.

Yes;a citrus peeler.I got one years ago and had no clue as to what it's function was;the reason being the little channel that was supposed to be on it was missing.I finally was informed as to it's use and shortly afterward found another one with the Pfeilring stamp. The first one was a Wusthof and it came in a little case as well.
