Glennbad, I expect that all of those drawers are completely chock full of gorgeous knives. I will have to show my wife your picture next time she insinuates that I have too many knives in my collection! :D

Picked it up for $5.00 It still had a couple brushes, and brass rods but was missing the handle. Added those to my other cleaning kit. Cleaned the box up and rubbed it down with some Tung Oil, and put a piece of red craft foam in the bottom. Figured I would make it a Barlow Box. It sits nicely on my other box.

Refurbishing anything and bringing it back working condition, is not only common sense, it is a full filling exercise for the mind, and gets more use out of something made from the old days of manufacturing things. And if you can get something for low bucks, or nothing, even better. I love seeing anything old being fixed up and used again. ::tu:: :D

Been looking for a vintage Gerstner box to store my best vintage knives in and managed to land one last night from a local on-line auction. should be able to sell the tools in it to cover the cost of the box. Should look great full of vintage knives.

Thanks guys for the comments ::tu:: ::tu::

Picked it up, cleaned it up with some Murphy's Oil Soap and some furniture polish. Filled it full of vintage knives, a vintage box full of old knives just looks right.

Looks great, John! ::tu:: Pretty sure you have enough nice old knives to fill a few of those boxes. Looks like you got some great tools with the box as well.
