A head scratcher for me. 2 blade serpentine

I just bought this one online because it looks a little different.
The seller didn't mention a number for the model, only "Schrade Walden" which is easily seen on the mark side tang.
With a fat bolster on one end and a skinny one on the other end, I just thought it looked cool.
Can any one expound on this guy?

Is it this one? The very early Schrade Waldens did not have a pattern # stamped on the blade and they did not say U.S.A., either. Shown is a catalog cut; the SW # would be 766.

When I saw the description, I thought the same thing....
I guess a "Wharncliff pattern" is different than a Wharncliffe blade.. (?).

That is a beautiful knife you have Eric. Yours does look longer and more slender. Maybe an illusion.
The seller did not mention the length of my knife. The seller did say in the description, that the covers are celluloid. BUT....
Maybe I am just letting my imagination over come my common sense but in this close-up of the shield, there appears to be the "canals" of wood grain you see in wood. I was thinking cocobolo but, NO matter, the covers fit the bolsters nicely. No shrinkage.
I am pleased.

I believe that the term Wharncliffe in its first usage in the cutlery world referred to the frame, not the blade, but the characteristic wharncliffe blade soon followed and dominated the understanding of the term. Wharncliffe is obviously a proper name and I wonder how it came to be associated with the knife? I suspect that information is lost to the ages.

Well.....
The thing that drew my eye to this knife was that there was a large bolster at one end and the smaller bolster at the other end.
That teamed up with the SEXY curves of the serpentine shape and I just couldn't resist.

Maybe those were the characteristics of a "Wharncliffe" pattern.... (????)

I know one thing though.... I LIKE IT!!!
